Breaking Ground - Cave Archaeology at the Edge of the Swabian Alb

18 May 2014 - 18 January 2015

With the search for bear bones more than 150 years ago, the archaeological exploration of the caves on the edge of the Swabian Alb started. Since then, researchers, most of all members of the Institute of Prehistory at the University of Tübingen, made fascinating discoveries.
This exhibitions presents not the sensational finds, but the researchers, excavators and archaeological sites connected with them, from the first dig of Oscar Fraas to the latest excavations in the Lone Valley in 2013.
