International Ice Age Europe Photo Competition

We are thrilled to announce the launch of our first international photo competition in cooperation and as part of the CEWE Photo Award 2019 "Our world is beautiful".

A long time ago, large parts of Europe were covered by ice. Surviving these conditions was tough, but our ancestors did more than that: they mastered making ingenious hunting tools, told stories around fires and created fantastic art such as cave paintings. In short, the people in Ice Age Europe lived just as we do, reacting with emotions we are familiar with today: love, fear, sadness etc.

As part of this competition we invite everybody to share what you find the most interesting about the Ice Age, where you might find traces today, or to reflect on the biggest differences.

By entering you will automatically participate in the international CEWE Photo Award 2019 offering a chance to win additional prizes from a prize pool totalling over 250,000 euros. The main CEWE Photo Award has 10 categories: sport, people, landscapes, animals, architecture and infrastructure, nature, travel and culture, food, hobby and leisure, humour. We are convinced all these themes can be related to the Ice Age!

The 40 best Ice Age Europe submissions to the photographic competition will be included in an exhibition that will tour Europe from autumn 2019 onwards.

Share your creativity with us and submit your photo by 31 May 2019. Make sure to add the hashtag #iceageeurope after uploading.
